Doc at Home: Green in Tennessee!

At 8 weeks, Doc's new papa came out to get him with a pal, and he had all the way back to Tennessee to bond. When he arrived at his new kingdom, he promptly settled in to taking his duties very seriously; that is, playing as much as possible with his two new boys.

He also proceeded to wrap their mother completely around his little pawsies, which she already knew was a foregone conclusion... so everybody was very happy with the process... and the outcome!

He apparently felt it was important to get the correct pecking order right off the bat, so he set to doing that.

Looks to me like he succeeded.

And also found the best seat in the house.

He discovered and laid claim to his own patch of nice green grass in the yard, and had a ball running off with the ball as the boys threw it for him.

But, he had to grow up and become a responsible protector of... well, everything.
And so he did.

Just look at him.

Jake at Home: Arizona livin'!

Jake went home to Arizona, and promptly by-passed his brand new bed to lay on the floor beside the couch. I guess he has an instinct about couches, and knows he wants to establish the right positioning for future movie nights!

Later, he enjoyed the warm air and greening grass of Arizona!

Have a great time with him, Broussards!

Sometimes You Just Gotta Sleep on the Job.

Well, as we all know, life can be exhausting. For anybody!

And it's especially tough being a puppy: all that growing to do and all that playing that must be endured. Tough stuff, here.

So sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do, and some days that means using the legs of an office chair as a pillow and taking a nap.

Phoenix was up in the office for some special time with people to herself, and this became so boring she had to get some sleep in. At first she opted for stretching out between someone's shoes... but then she wiggled deeper and found an arrangement even more to her liking.

I just want to know one thing...
Why can't I get away with sleeping in the office?

Pups and Goats and Staying Warm!

Jake-pup has a warm place, Velvet (the poodle) watches.
Well, we've had a slight onslaught of baby goats arriving, and since it's been pretty snowy and cold out, they get to come in the house to warm up and dry out before heading back to the barn to be with their mamas.

So, we can have a bit of a menagerie going on here!
With all the baby critters in the house, sometimes it gets a little tough to figure out where to put them!

This little newly born, coal-black kid got to spend some time with the pups, who didn't mind a bit, as you can tell.
Jake, the guardian of baby goats.

So after everyone was fed, they all fell asleep in a pile.

 And slept happily ever after.
